The best hiding place
Have you ever played the game called hide-and-seek? What kind of hiding places have you found? A clump of bushes? An overturned wheelbarrow? Inside the house, maybe there is a closet you can slip into or a big bed you can crawl under where no one can see you. The most important thing in this game is to know you are hidden well. If you find a secret place, you know you are safe.
Steve loved to play hide-and-seek with his older brother and sister. Because he was younger and smaller than they were, he could crawl into places they wouldn't think of looking. He could hide until he knew it was safe to run back to home base and surprise everyone.
Steve also learned about a different kind of hiding place in Sunday School. His teacher had told his Sunday School class about the special hiding place we read of in the book of Psalms. Psalm 91 tells us, "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty" (verse 1).
