God is always in control
The way other people behave toward us might seem like something out of our control, but it isn't. When we seem to be the victim of another's actions, we must vigilantly hold to the truth of that person's sinless, spiritual identity. Seeing him or her correctly, as God does, we then see how God controls the situation.
A good example of this in my own life occurred a number of years ago. I was serving as a part-time librarian in a downtown Christian Science Reading Room. The location was in the heart of the city and people of many different races, religions, and economic levels came in. Some sought shelter on cold or rainy days, but most came seeking a peace of mind that they found within the Reading Room.
By calmly listening for the "still small voice" of Truth that identifies each of us as God's own image, expressing His love, I knew that I was contributing to the healing atmosphere. I found I could provide comfort by sharing God's love with each visitor, love that came from knowing we are all the children of God.
