Sacred eyes
Seeing with sacred eyes—
holy consciousness—
the view is man
God-made,
anointed and perfect.
I saw a friend this way today.
Whereas before distrust had clouded
my view,
now I could not block
the clarity of her speech,
the nobility, the loveliness there.
Her voice spoke above
what I had seen before.
Now, I looked at what her spoken images
were showing:
conviction, moral courage, vision.
I heard another sound,
Truth's awakening voice:
"And God saw
every thing that he had made..."
BEHOLD!
"... it was very good." Gen. 1:31.
The qualities she conveyed
showed what these words implied:
God saw!
How could I view the contrary and
"de-face" the Godlikeness she was expressing—
deny the divinity God's child is reflecting?
God sees
His image so fashioned with purity
that the form is beauty and strength itself.
Clear with spiritual sense,
sacred "eyes" see the conscious reality—
the glory of God
that is every man.
