"Joy to the world," and me too!
Lights were ablaze in the shop windows as the carolers were singing "Joy to the world." I stopped and listened and found myself thinking, "and joy to me too"!
The celebration of Christmas is an opportunity to give of ourselves, our talents, charity, caring, and spontaneity. It is an opportunity to let in more of the true meaning of Christ, the spirit of Truth and Love. In pondering the real meaning of Christmas one particular holiday season, this writer found herself turning to a hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal, No. 253, entitled "Christ My Refuge." The words are by Mary Baker Eddy and read in part:
