While I was employed as a bus driver for a city transit system...
While I was employed as a bus driver for a city transit system, I was able to prove this statement: "Trials are proofs of God's care" (Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 66). After hearing of a flu epidemic, and being informed that several of our drivers had been taken ill on the job, I found myself having symptoms of the flu one afternoon.
I used the two-way radio and requested that my base dispatcher provide a replacement driver because I felt unable to continue. They had run out of extra drivers, however, and so asked if I would "hang in there" until someone was available.
