The inexhaustible pastor
A person can do only so much for others. But the Word of God is inexhaustible. It never runs out. It is capable of satisfying the spiritual needs of everyone.
People go to church looking for spiritual nourishment. And the worshipers in a congregation need a pastor to feed them with the inspiration they are seeking. It is always God, though, not a person or persons, who supplies our spiritual food. That's why we pray the Lord's Prayer, which includes "Our Father ... Give us this day our daily bread" (Matt. 6:9, 11).
God supplies us with spiritual ideas with which we can think constructively concerning any and every aspect of existence. These ideas reveal His nature, and the nature of His creation as He, Love, knows it—as it exists in the divine consciousness. God's Word is His continuous self-revelation to man.
