Issues raised in 'Christian Science at great divide'
Boston Globe
From the Boston Globe, Wednesday, January 13, 1993
The Globe's recent "Christian Science at great divide" (Dec. 27), contains numerous errors and misrepresentations about issues of concern to Christian Scientists. There is space enough in this letter only to correct a few of them.
Globe reporter James Franklin states that I refused to discuss with him "any issue connected with the directors' authority." Yet when he asked me to verify that the Christian Science board of directors is "considering disciplining teachers who have signed letters protesting church policies or calling for the directors' resignation," he chose not to quote my answer that the directors had not and were not considering such action. To imply that I did not answer is puzzling.
