God's finished work— its relevance to healing
Glimpsing the reality of God's creation can bring greater evidence of harmony and healing to your life.
The Bible opens with a description of God's creation as wholly good. This account concludes with a declaration so brief and unobtrusive that one might glide past it, missing its significance. But the statement is decisive and unmistakable: "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them."
In a world that seems adrift in the turbulence of unfinished business, it may seem incredible that God's work is finished. Yet it can be immensely encouraging to know that salvation lies not in endless waiting for God to do more, but in beginning immediately the work of discerning the spiritual reality of His creation, which is already perfect and complete.
The Bible promises full salvation from hunger, poverty, sin, disease, and even death. We know this promise is valid because of the countless healings recorded throughout the Scriptures— healings that were not simply isolated instances of divine intervention but were proofs of God's finished work.
