Through studying and practicing Christian Science, our family has been blessed with many physical healings. They include my nephew's healing of a medically diagnosed case of polio and my mother's complete return to normal health after her appendix appeared to rupture. After severely burning my hand, I regained its full use and it resumed its normal color and feeling through prayer. My son's face healed without scars after a shattered plate-glass window caused many lacerations. For all of these healings, which occurred through our family's reliance on God alone, I am most grateful.

In addition to these physical healings, Christian Science has enhanced my performance as a physicist. Recently my work involved a problem in solid-state physics, the solution of which was to support a new commercial project. When I was initially retained, my task was to improve upon an existing concept. But after consultation with four leading experts in this field, the improvement was deemed beyond the scope of existing knowledge. Try as I did, a solution to the problem would not surface. It was then suggested that a team of experts be assigned to the problem so that, through the knowledge of various physicists, one might stumble upon a solution.

Months of mental exasperation resulted from my conversations with other physicists and reading of physics textbooks.
