A healing I experienced several years ago proved to me...
A healing I experienced several years ago proved to me once again that "the power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent. It is indeed adequate to unclasp the hold and to destroy disease, sin, and death" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures). At a time when I was working in a demanding job, I was afflicted suddenly with a very painful condition in both legs, making it impossible to walk. Everything I did necessitated much walking, and I was very distressed to be immobile. I could barely stand, let alone walk.
Being a student of Christian Science, I recognized the need to demonstrate that scientific prayer could heal me. I set out to gain a better concept of God and myself as His image and likeness.
Of great help was the chapter "Physiology" in Science and Health, recommended by the practitioner I had called to pray for me. I could do very little during this time except sit in a chair and study. I prayed, pondered, and listened!
