Christian Science has been a blessing both to me and to members of my family over the last few years. We have achieved healings through prayer and total reliance on God.

I learned about Christian Science when a friend lovingly shared a Christian Science Sentinel with me. The Sentinel brought me more understanding of God and clearly showed me my inseparable relationship to Him. This revelation brought a lot of peace and joy into my life. However, although the Sentinel was interesting, I found it difficult to believe that the spiritual healings related in the testimonies could be true. Although I was brought up in a family with a good religious background, I had never witnessed spiritual healings of sicknesses. Shortly afterwards, I joined another church.

Ten years later I suffered from a severe chest illness which lasted for more than a year. During that time I underwent several medical tests to determine the nature of the sickness, but these met with no success. Meanwhile I was growing weaker and weaker, and members of my family were very worried and feared that I would die. My sister and I moved from church to church, but found no inspiration. My situation was growing worse, and I felt like giving up. I was coughing and in lots of pain, and felt very desperate.
