One day when I was in second grade I went to a friend's house to play. We were riding bicycles up and down the hill on her street, and I was riding her old bike because I had left mine at home.
Coming down the hill, I tried to put on the brakes, but the bike wouldn't stop. I fell off the bike, landing on my chin on the sidewalk. I was in much pain and couldn't open my mouth.
My friend's dad took me home and told my mom what had happened. It felt like my jaw was broken.
