Since my husband and I were married five years ago, we have seen many examples of God's provision for our family.

When newly married, I felt I was outgrowing my current job and began to pray for God's guidance. Then I received a call about a job opportunity. In the interviewing and hiring process that followed, I felt as if God were closing one door and opening another. I remembered that when Moses embarked upon his new duties, God strengthened him with the angel message "My presence shall go with thee" (Exodus). During the final interview, I learned the decision was between another individual and me. I knew that this was not a competition but God's unfoldment; He would have both of us in our right places. I was offered the job.

A year later, my boss confided that he did not know why he had felt impelled to hire me, because I was not the most qualified candidate. He simply felt that I would contribute a lot to the department and that I had integrity and personableness. This conversation was very dear to me because, as a Christian Scientist, I had been striving to see my real job as living the healing Christ and blessing those around me.
