A time to be a Mary

Is it unproductive
to sit and listen
at the Master's feet?

What a topsy-turvy world—
demanding motion to feel accomplished!

Can I slow down enough
to go forward spiritually?
Gear-change for a high rise in my thought?

I choose to kneel in humility.
I have no choice but to go down,
that I may spring up higher!
