My son and I have been very grateful for the spiritual truths we have learned in Christian Science throughout the years. Many healings have taken place in our family, and one in particular was very important to us.

One day my son Larry asked me if I noticed anything different about his face. He had partial paralysis of his face down through one of his arms, and he asked that I pray for him.

I remember sharing some of our favorite thoughts of God and telling him that he couldn't have anything God didn't make. He sat down in the chair near me, and we really had a good talk about the healing truths of God and His perfect spiritual idea, man, that we knew from our study of Christian Science. The healing of this condition began when Larry remembered, "There is no power apart from God." This is his favorite statement of God's omnipotence, found in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.
