When my wife and I were married I was not a Christian Scientist, nor did I know anything about Christian Science. I was of a different faith, but through my wife's example, I became interested in Science. During the time we were raising our five children, whenever one of them was ill my wife would pray and sing Mrs. Eddy's hymns. She would tell the children how much God loved them and cared for them. The healings were very quick; I witnessed many such healings.

I would like to share a wonderful healing of a skin condition that appeared on my hands. I had had this problem as a child, and it had lasted for years. At first my mother had spent a great deal of money on skin specialists, but to no avail. Eventually, the condition had cleared up.

I had been studying Christian Science only a short time when I noticed symptoms of this condition reappearing on my hands. The agony and misery I had experienced as a child were very vivid in my thought. My hands became unsightly, and I had to wear gloves. I lost all my fingernails as time went on. I became very fearful, and my job was also in jeopardy. In this state of mind, I went to a skin specialist and had X-ray treatments and medication. I felt so confused.
