Thanks to Christian Science I have experienced steady healing and progress throughout my life. I had the joyous privilege of regularly attending a Christian Science Sunday School, and I also had the measureless blessing of having understanding parents, who proved by their practice of Christian Science that only through spiritual love do we discover life's true meaning. I am also grateful for the opportunity I had of belonging to and working in a Christian Science college organization.

I am thankful for many healings, which to me are proof of the loving care of our Father-Mother God and which have taught me valuable lessons in spiritual growth. Among these healings have been those of a heart attack, the need to wear glasses, and asthma. I also experienced painless childbirth as a result of prayer. The following healing has meant much.

A few minutes after waking one morning, a strange sensation swept over my body, leaving every muscle restricted. I was paralyzed. My husband immediately began praying for me, and as he prayed it came to me that I needed to purify my thinking in the deepest possible way. I started by going back to earliest childhood and acknowledging each individual who came to thought as the perfect child of God.
