"As those who study illness today can confirm, emotional and spiritual dis-ease may well express themselves in physical ill-health. It was of the essence of the attitude of Jesus to people and their needs to want not only to make them physically well, but also to mend their broken hearts. Jesus, in his compassion for people, sought to make them whole. That was love in action."
