Gratitude—we can't do without it!
Real thanksgiving to God opens our thought, and life, to His constant provision.
Original in Spanish
Have you ever thought of gratitude as a quality bestowed by God? Gratitude to our creator is clearly God-derived, because it forwards our spiritual progress, helping us to understand and feel closer to Him.
Gratitude is one of the finest qualities. It acknowledges God's grace and abundance. It opens our thought to His wise, unerring government. This exclamation of King David, found in First Chronicles, is inspiring in its profound appreciation of the one God: "Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all."
