About thirty years ago I was on the roof of our one-story house making some tuning adjustments on a ham radio antenna. I needed to make frequent trips between the basement, where my equipment was located, and the roof. We were expecting guests that evening, and I was attempting to finish the adjustments before they arrived.
As I was stepping off the roof onto the ladder (too hastily, I might add), the ladder slipped; I fell to the patio below. My wife came to my assistance immediately. I appeared to be in a state of shock, and my wife and a neighbor who had witnessed the fall assisted me to my bed. My wife began to pray to see me as the reflection of God, forever whole and complete as His spiritual idea. The neighbor was very concerned because I had laid motionless for a short while on the patio. My wife assured him that I would receive all necessary care.
A Christian Science practitioner gave immediate assistance in helping us to pray, using the spiritual truths found in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.
