Youth of all faiths exploring ideas together
Meetings for young people in the United States and Canada began this past August. Local Christian Scientists have initiated these meetings and opened them to all young people in their areas. Participants are exploring prayer-based answers to questions they have in common. For example, questions on identity, morality, relationships, careers, and what individuals can do about world problems like pollution, violence, economic anxieties, homelessness. The meeting format includes talks, workshops, music, as well as time for informal sharing, making new friends, and thinking about what's been said.
Everyone from age twelve through thirty is invited.
So far, these are definite areas and times for 1992 and 1993 meetings. The states indicated for each meeting are the primary focus area for that specific meeting. Individuals are, however, free to go to any meeting in any location.
