INSIDE: LOOKING INTO THIS ISSUE
As regular as the change of seasons is the beginning of a new school year—different seasons for different hemispheres! Of course, there's usually little that is simply routine about the preparations needed for a new school year.
Our opening interview is with the superintendent of a large school district. His thirty-year career shows that a spiritual standpoint can bring healing and change to education.
In our "Family Matters" department, a mother relates how she faced up to the all-too-prevalent social argument that children are a mixed blessing. Being a parent of two preschoolers had naturally been challenging. But she came to realize as never before that divine Love is the Parent of all and that this Love embraces parents as well as children. Those who share their experiences and spiritual insights in this Sentinel have made a wonderful and practical discovery: God is in control of their lives.
