When I was a child visiting a church with my father and...
When I was a child visiting a church with my father and mother, I heard a sermon about Christ Jesus' healing works that greatly inspired me. On arriving home, I asked my father and mother "Why can't we do this healing work now?" I did not receive a satisfactory reply, but I remembered my desire to heal when Christian Science was presented to me later.
When I was an adult, a Christian Scientist lent me a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. However I did not take up the study of this Science then. Some time later, feeling I should learn more about Christian Science, I wrote to a Christian Science practitioner. She shared the following quotation from Science and Health with me: "God's being is infinity, freedom, harmony, and boundless bliss." I began the study of Christian Science in earnest and became a member of The Mother Church and a branch church. In due course I had Christian Science class instruction, which I still value greatly.
At one time I was hemorrhaging and requested Christian Science treatment from a practitioner. The condition ceased, and I was very grateful for this healing.
