I believe it is high time for me to express my thanks for all that Christian Science has done for me. I have been healed of a bad temper, anemia, smoking, and severe colitis. Before I became a student of Science I felt unloved, unproductive, and useless. I was very thankful to learn through Christian Science that I am actually loved, whole, productive, and needed.

My mother introduced me to Christian Science. She did this by taking me to a Wednesday evening testimony meeting on a nigh when I was feeling hysterical after an argument. My father had recently passed on, and I was still in a state of shock and grief. While at the meeting I looked up through tears and saw these words on the wall of the church: "God is Love." That arresting thought aroused my interest, as did the testimonies of healing given by members of the congregation.

After the service my mother took me to the home of a Christian Science practitioner. I was given a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. In the following months, I read all of Mrs. Eddy's writings. My grief was healed, and I felt great gratitude for finding what I knew to be the truth. Before this I had been questioning organized religion, but I had always believed in God.
