The naturalness and efficacy of God's healing power became...
The naturalness and efficacy of God's healing power became evident to me during an experience I had about a year and a half ago. While playing a vigorous game of softball one day, I twisted my hand into an unnatural position. There was a loud crack, and I was unable to continue.
In just a few weeks I was due to be a skiing and horseback riding counselor at a camp in the Rocky Mountains. All sorts of thoughts about the injury and not being able to attend the camp program filled me with disappointment. But after I had talked by telephone with a Christian Science practitioner, who had agreed to pray with me, I was convinced that complete healing through spiritual means alone could take place, and without my outlining how and when.
I considered deeply the spiritual truths of man's inseparable and unbroken relationship to God. It became clear to me that true structure is spiritual and that in reality man, as God's spiritual reflection, expresses unlimited freedom of movement.
