INSIDE: LOOKING INTO THIS ISSUE

Ethics is not a new subject for the Sentinel. It was this magazine's founder, Mary Baker Eddy, who once wrote (Miscellaneous Writings), "From lack of moral strength empires fall. Right alone is irresistible, permanent, eternal."

What is new, though, is the urgency of the public discussion about ethics which is going on all around us. It's getting much clearer that you and I need ethics if we're going to have a livable environment for ourselves and our children. We need ethics in order to have a local or national government that functions.

Our new feature "Thinking it through" brings this very large subject down to earth and helps us see that strong convictions about the nature of man in God's image and likeness should result in an equally strong stand for truth and honesty.
