As a youngster attending a Christian Science Sunday School...
As a youngster attending a Christian Science Sunday School, I learned early on to trust God in every situation. One instance of such trust occurred when I was around ten years old.
I was visiting at a friend's house about a mile or so from my own home. My friend accidentally hit me soundly in the forehead with a baseball bat. I was knocked to the ground, and when she saw the wound, my friend ran into the house, frightened by what she had done.
Despite what had happened I was not afraid. I began recalling statements about God and His perfect, spiritual child, that I had learned in my Sunday School class. Then I got up, walked into the house, and asked my friend's mother if I could use the telephone to call a Christian Science practitioner.
