What God knows
It can sometimes throw a useful light on troubles that we feel enmeshed in to sit down and consider quite seriously whether God is conscious of them.
It's a startling question, when you think about it. For example, you could ask, Is God conscious of someone's being without employment? Does God know of a messy divorce and embittered relationships? Is God aware of heart trouble? You can add your own question, which may appear more complex and difficult because you have more details to use in describing a specific situation.
An initial response to such questions isn't long in coming. The answer has to be, No, God couldn't be conscious of these troubles. He wouldn't really know any of the above. If He did, He would be conscious, or aware, of a highly imperfect creation, and He would be responsible for evil as well as good.
