About four years ago, when I was fairly new in the study of Christian Science, I had an experience in my family that proved to me without a doubt that Christian Science heals.

Our second son, who was about eighteen months old, stepped barefoot into a bed of hot coals left over from a campfire that had been burning the night before. My husband, who was out in the yard when this happened, brought the child in to me.

I had had several healings before this, so I knew I could rely on Christian Science in this situation. I called a Christian Science practitioner, who agreed to pray for the child. She also urged me to acknowledge that God was with us, and she suggested I sing hymns from the Christian Science Hymnal to the child.
