Our daily opportunity
If we knew that Bible study could make each day not just bearable but inspired, wouldn't we do it—each day?
Original in German
Many contacts with Christian Scientists (particularly here in what used to be called the German Democratic Republic) have impelled me time and time again to give thought to the subject of studying the Bible—actually, in its widest sense, to the application of Christian Science and to an individual's willingness to be active himself for Christian Science (including church work).
It seems to me that encouragement is most urgently needed along these lines; there are so many old habits of thinking to overcome and new ways to be sought. Perhaps my article can make a contribution here and inspire us to make more conscious and consistent use of our opportunities.
