A Bible forum
It has been said the Bible knows us—that this book speaks to us more truly than a friend. We read it, and we understand our lives as never before. We go back again and again to find out more of who we really are.
This occasional forum,
which includes a variety of comment from
books and Sentinel contributors, tells of the universal,
timeless light that people are finding
in the "Book of books."
Sometimes I've read the Bible academically, using Bible reference materials to increase my appreciation of its message. But when I need healing, I open the Bible for help, and that's a very different kind of reading. For the questions and needs I carry with me at these times, I just want to know the truth. And it's at these times that the truths in the Bible seem most direct and easiest to understand.
