Becoming a better parent
I Have always had faith that God loves us. Yet it wasn't until I actually had to confront what was for me the great loneliness—having all seven of my children grow up and move away from home—that I really began to understand what God's love is.
The yearning to be near to my children nearly overwhelmed my daily life. Nevertheless, what I did understand of God and my spiritual nature as His child through many years' study of Christian Science kept me from being overwhelmed.
My inward distress of missing my children did not keep me from having a normal and active life. But there was a nagging sadness and feeling that the only thing that would make me happy would be to be with my children, and nothing could substitute for that.
