A Friend of mine and I attended a wedding together on a Sunday evening in an area of town that is considered dangerous. The bride was a friend who was living in the area where the wedding was held.
The church service that morning had been especially meaningful to me. A hymn from the Christian Science Hymnal that begins "We are hid with Christ forever / In the Father's holy plan" was sung by the congregation, and I had kept that in my thought all day. Then, before the wedding began, a tape of hymns was playing. One hymn in particular stood out to me. It begins:
