My first healing in Christian Science was of ringworm

My first healing in Christian Science was of ringworm. This occurred when I was six years old and my mother prayed for me. When I was eight, my mother enrolled me in a Christian Science Sunday School. (She had experienced several lovely healings a few years before but had not been able to enroll me in Sunday School because of transportation problems.)

During my school years I had healings of boils, colds, pinkeye, sties, measles, and chilblains. All of these disorders were healed through prayer in Christian Science and what I was learning of God in the Sunday School.

While I was growing up, I was quite shy and reluctant, because of self-consciousness, to participate in high-school activities that involved speaking before groups. I had a healing of the shyness after I was selected by the local branch church (where I went to Sunday School) to introduce the lecturer at a Christian Science lecture and prayed to be able to do this well.
