To be freed of what is considered a severe physical condition...
To be freed of what is considered a severe physical condition through spiritual healing lifts one's thoughts to a higher appreciation of the healings accomplished by Christ Jesus. This freedom also provides a stronger faith in God's power and discloses in greater measure the actuality of God's presence and love for all. It is with deep gratitude that I can testify to the validity of these statements.
About seven years ago, when I woke one morning, I found my right leg was useless and that every movement of my body was very painful. My immediate response was to telephone a Christian Science practitioner and ask for help through prayer.
Then no time was wasted in turning to the Bible and to the writings of Mary Baker Eddy. A reference in the book of Psalms says that the Lord "healeth all thy diseases." This is a most comforting and encouraging promise. "The scientific statement of being" in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mrs. Eddy makes it clear that God's power is absolute. The statement begins: "There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all."
