"Of the ten lepers whom Jesus healed, but one returned to give God thanks,—that is, to acknowledge the divine Principle which had healed him," writes Mrs. Eddy in Science and Health. Ten percent! If that ratio applies today, just think of the thousands of testimonies of Christian Science healings that have never been written! Here is one that is long overdue.

Both my mother and my grandmother were healed of supposedly incurable diseases. My grandmother was told by her brother-in-law, a doctor, that her condition was incurable and she would have to learn to live with it. She took a trolley to the office of a Christian Science practitioner some miles away, was healed during that visit, and walked all the way home rejoicing. She became a practitioner listed in The Christian Science Journal later and healed many people through her understanding of the spiritual truth of being.

In my mother's case, the doctor said she would not live to the age of twenty-one, or if she did, she would never be able to have children. She was healed through Christian Science, had three children, and lived many years past the predicted age.
