I Am very happy to share a physical healing I had since I became a Christian Scientist. In June 1987 I was in an automobile accident that almost cost me my life. I was driving in my car when a large vehicle crashed into me so forcefully that my car was a complete wreck. My right arm was severely injured and sustained a fracture, my left kneecap was dislocated, and I also had some other wounds. In astonishment I found myself being taken to the hospital.

In the emergency room the doctor wanted to dress the wounds and put a cast on the broken arm. I was convinced, however, that Christian Science heals in all cases; so I chose not to have any medical treatment. The doctor just cleaned the wounds with water. Then my wife came to take me home. Before going home we went to see a Christian Science practitioner, who agreed to pray for me.

When I arrived home I was unable to walk. The neighbors came crowding around me, anxious over my condition. News of the accident had spread throughout my town and was so gloomy that all the members of my family were expecting me to die. Many visitors brought me ointments as remedies to be applied to the injuries. But I never used them.
