Since I was raised in Christian Science, I have had many healings, including those of colds, flu, bronchitis, bee stings, an injured toe, and academic challenges. One of my favorite healings, though, is one that helped me see that no matter how long we seem to have had a difficulty, it is not really a part of us.
I had a wart on one foot during my senior year in high school. Although I occasionally prayed about the condition, since it didn't bother me and wasn't visible to other people, I usually ignored it. (Simply ignoring a problem is not consistent with the practice of Christian Science!)
After a few years had gone by, I felt as if I would just have to live with the growth; it seemed a permanent part of me. However, shortly after I moved to a new home with my husband, new warts began appearing near the first one, and a number also showed up on one of my hands. And the new ones were quite noticeable and unattractive.
