My childhood was not a happy one
My childhood was not a happy one. My mom showed us very little affection. In addition to this, my brother sexually abused me for many years when I was a little girl.
Even with that background I got along pretty well in school, although I was very shy and didn't trust anyone. My aunt and grandmothers were good to me and helped me when they could. They were rather religious.
Later I married. My husband and I traveled around the country while he was serving in the military. We established a home, and our baby was born while he was away. After the birth I went into a spell of depression and couldn't lift myself out of it.
