Wake up!

There's a whole new world to be discovered in Spirit, and Christ shows us the way.

Recently I was thinking about the many wonderful changes that have taken place in my life since beginning the study of Christian Science. When I began to realize that God, Spirit, made me like Himself, that He was my loving Father-Mother, caring for me in every way, I rejoiced in healings, and it was like stepping into a new world.

The first healing lifted me out of a life of invalidism. Next I found that I could safely trust God to guide me into right employment and so was provided with necessary daily supplies. But above and beyond these blessings, I was glimpsing, even if only faintly, that the omnipresence of God meant He was always with me, that the omnipotence of God meant His power was always at hand to meet any and every emergency. What comfort this brought! My former fears and anxieties began gradually to dissolve.

It soon became clear, however, that this new world, which was giving me so much, was also making demands that I had to be prepared to meet if I wanted to continue to progress. The old way of thinking, which regarded life as material and matter as the real and substantial, would have to go. This was certainly challenging.
