The Sunday football game
It was going to be a great football game. And here's how one of the players tells the story:
All six of Roger's brothers were going to be there, and the game would start right after everyone finished chores. We could play together all day until the cows had to be milked at supper time.
But I knew I'd have trouble with Mom. This football game was set for Sunday morning. I just knew Mom would say my brother and I had to go to Sunday School before we played. That meant we'd miss a lot.
