Knowing for sure what the Bible means

The Bible is the most translated book in the world. The demand for it in various languages increases all the time. People have so valued the Bible that they have given all their resources, even risked their lives, to read it and to share it with others. others. For a book to mean so much, it must be more than a book.

To grasp the message of this astounding volume involves more than just being able to read or hear words. In fact, the words of the whole Bible, even Jesus' words, have been interpreted in contradictory ways. Wars have been fought over interpretations of Bible teachings. How can it be unquestionably determined what the Bible means? What is the real truth, God's actual intent? God, divine Truth, can't be self-contradictory!

When John the Baptist sent disciples to Jesus to ask him if he was the "right one"—the God-promised Saviour who would release the people from their suffering—Jesus said essentially that John would have to judge for himself. Jesus told them to report to John the effects of Jesus' ministry: sick people healed; ravaged lives mended; new hope springing up wherever Jesus went.
