I Was brought up in Christian Science and have experienced many physical healings. I am especially thankful for the moral strength I gained through the nurturing of my spirituality by loving parents and Sunday School teachers. As a result, while I've had challenges, I have been able to face them from a spiritual perspective and overcome them.
At one point I was involved in a turbulent relationship that nevertheless seemed to hold much promise. We married, and after a couple of years of pouring out as much human affection as I thought possible through some extremely trying challenges, I found myself desperate, with my husband facing a lengthy prison term. I felt alone and betrayed, especially since I had expected that by acting in obedience to Principle myself I would be spared such an experience.
I struggled to rely on God. Sometimes I had to trust, and wait patiently for some time, in order to feel His comfort. But as I did this, I found strength and help from all sorts of unexpected sources. Looking back on those years now, I remember them as a time of growth.
