You are good enough right now
Spiritual healing isn't reserved for some few who might be "good enough" for it. It's available to you now!
Do you sometimes feel spiritually inadequate? You're not alone. This sense of being less than what we need to be isn't new. If dominion over sin seems elusive, it may well be because we're believing we must suffer our way into the kingdom of heaven. But this is not what Christ Jesus taught. He said: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect" Matt. 5:48. and "Nothing shall by any means hurt you." Luke 10:19.
Certainly there are strong Christian demands for repentance when needed, but Jesus' teachings show the way out of suffering. His was a doctrine of liberation from sin, disease, and death. This freedom isn't the result of being humanly perfect but of seeing our true relationship to God, a relationship that necessarily includes dominion and health and wholeness.
Christian Science, the Science of Christ, is founded on what Jesus understood so clearly and demonstrated so powerfully in his many healing and saving works. This Science reveals man's present spiritual perfection and wholeness, a sinlessness we all truly have at this very moment. And it follows that if this is the truth of our being, we can begin to demonstrate it here and now and see the Christ lift our lives out from under any supposed law of punishment or penalty or condemnation.
