At one point I was employed in the textbook department of a very large high school. Twice each year the P.T.A. had to be called on for help with record keeping and the checking in and out of more than nine hundred titles and many thousands of books. It was a period of tremendous effort and confusion.
While I was driving home one evening, feeling totally exhausted, I was praying for a solution, which I knew could be found in God, divine Mind. Suddenly I recalled some spiritual truths from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy that were especially helpful. Later that evening I continued to pray and to listen closely for further guidance. I stayed awake much of that night working out details for a wholly new way of handling inventory. Yet after a brief sleep I woke refreshed and enthusiastic.
The next semester my simplified system was tested and endorsed by both faculty and administration. Years later, when I met the principal, who had been in charge of the textbook department, she commented, "We're still blessing you!"
