I am extremely grateful to have had the healing truths of Christian Science available in raising our children. My husband and I have seen protection and healing in many situations.

Our son was not quite a year old when one day at lunch he was completely uninterested in food, was no longer alert to what was happening around him, and became hot to the touch. I felt that with the other duties of caring for the family, I needed help in providing healing prayer; so I called a Christian Science practitioner.

That evening, as I was rocking the child to sleep, I recalled a healing of a severely injured young boy that was related during a Christian Science lecture. Though the picture had been grim, the mother had spent the night in prayer in the knowledge that her son was not a mortal whose life was in danger but truly a spiritual, whole expression of Life. By morning the boy was completely healed.
