How do you celebrate real freedom?
Fireworks and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. They make a valiant try. But maybe we'd agree they don't fully convey the essence of freedom.
It's true that freedom is a stirring word. It probably serves as a rallying cry for more people and causes throughout the world than any other.
We instinctively want freedom not only for ourselves but for everyone. Freedom from outward tyranny. Freedom from inward self-doubt and defeatism and from whatever would suppress human fulfillment.
