Where is thy faith?
Whatever suggests the absence of God, the All-in-all, is like the boisterous waves that Christ Jesus calmed immediately.
It was a calm evening when Jesus and his disciples boarded the small ship. See Matt. 8:23–26. It had been a busy time for the Master, preaching, healing people who had been bound with sickness of many kinds—fever, leprosy, dementia.
The boat set forth and Jesus fell asleep. But a storm arose, and the disciples, overwhelmed by fear, awakened the Master. "Lord, save us: we perish."
"Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?" the Master said. Then he instantaneously and completely calmed the storm.
