The living power of Church in individual lives
If salvation, peace, and healing are to come to mankind through spirituality, how can we begin to make it happen?
Church meant little to me in my formative years. The awesome events of World War II, fear of dying in air raids, made me wonder, "Is there a God who is in charge or isn't there?" Whole cities, including huge cathedrals, folded into ruins. "Haven't religions failed to prevent war, which is the result of aggression, oppression, and hatred of brotherhood?" I asked.
Is there a truly regenerative influence in the Church that can light our path and reveal our inherent brotherhood as children of God?
The Church and its utility as a healing and reconciling agent of global dimensions took on a startling new meaning when a friend introduced me to Christian Science. He said that this religion teaches us the spiritual sense of love, joy, freedom, and healing.
