Healings in Christian Science were part of my life from the first. As an infant I was healed of an allergy to cows' milk. As a child I spent few days absent from school with diseases commonly associated with childhood. On a number of occasions my mother called a Christian Science practitioner, whose prayerful work was quick and effective. On other occasions my mother's prayers alone brought about healing. Thus I learned of God's love and protection at an early age.

In a Christian Science Sunday School I learned that God is not a corporeal person but is infinite Spirit, Soul, Mind, Principle, Life, Truth, and Love; also, that I was truly God's perfect, spiritual expression.
